Anna Mei has settled into her new town, and even better, she's found a great group of friends: Danny, Zandra, and Luis.
On the surface, summer vacation couldn't be better. But why doesn't it feel that way? No matter how hard she tries to ignore it, Anna Mei just can't stop wondering: What is Danny hiding? And why has she never even met her best friend's family? But while she pushes to find out what Danny's problem is, Anna Mei does a pretty good job of trying to escape from her own. Is Danny not the friend she thought he was? Or, has Anna Mei had everything backwards? Read how Anna Mei discovers what real life-and real friendship-are all about.
