About this Book:

"If you're like most people, it seems as if the number of things you have to do in a day exceed the amount of time you have to do them in."

Marshall Cook's practical guide begins with the notion that God has given us exactly as much time as we need, so time management becomes a way of seeking a balanced, healthy Christian life.

Time Management: A Catholic Approach can help you examine your state of perpetual motion; make choices more consciously according to your values; develop strategies for dealing with the information flood; discover the power of the pause and of the not-to-do list; take a new look at how you're living Sunday.

Combining the spiritual with the practical, Cook presents a resource for anyone feeling the crunch of time or the stress of day-to-day life. Filled with practical suggestions, inspiring examples, and reminders that we're all "on God's time," Time Management: A Catholic Approach will surely become a standout on your bookshelf.

Features & Benefits:

  • Great resource for parish groups
  • Includes a section on keeping the Sabbath holy by reorganizing the rest of the week's tasks
  • Humor and practical tips inspire discussion and action

About the Author:

Marshall J. Cook taught for the University of Wisconsin-Madison for thirty years and often speaks at conferences nationwide. He has published several books on stress management and has even been a guest on Oprah to discuss the topic. Marshall edits Extra Innings, an online newsletter for writers. He has authored thirty books and hundreds of magazine articles. Marshall holds his BA in creative writing and his MA in communications from Stanford University. He has been married to Ellen since 1968, and they have one son, Jeremiah. When not writing, Marshall likes to read, jog, lift weights, and talk back to the television (not all at the same time). He is a passionate minor league baseball fan, drives the back roads, and eats in small town cafes.

What Are People Saying about this Title?

"Time Management: A Catholic Approach adds that all-important dimension of spirituality to values-based time management. Cook's well-reasoned book looks to the Master for guidance, and Cook interprets that guidance in ways easily understood and truly applicable in daily living."
Charles William Ress, President, C.W. & Associates

"...not your traditional time management self-help book. It is a thought-provoking book that leaves the reader energized and motivated to adapt their lives and focus on the spiritual values that really matter."
Arthur Bowes, Senior Vice President of Human Rresources, North Shore Medical Center, Salem, MA, Management Professor, University of Massachusetts/Boston
