Join Hannah, Caleb, and Noah in their adventures as they travel back to Biblical times!
About this Book:
In this fourth volume of the Gospel Time Trekkers series, children ages 6 – 9 are taken on a journey that imaginatively retraces Jesus raising Jairus' daughter, Sarah, from the dead. On this journey, young readers personally encounter Jesus, experiencing what it was like to live in his time and be present for important Scriptural events. Remaining true to Biblical culture and scholarship, this historical fiction book offers a creative presentation of Christian faith and values, making it the perfect addition to your home or school library!
Arriving in Capernaum, the hungry siblings enter a marketplace where they meet a girl carrying a basket. She reveals herself as Sarah, the little girl who Jesus brought back from the dead. After giving them something to eat, she brings them to her father Jairus' workshop where he is in the process of making pottery. Curious about how the clay feels, Caleb touches a drying jug, accidentally breaking off the handle! Wanting to come clean about what happened, Caleb keeps looking for the right time to speak with Jairus. But when he finally has the opportunity to tell him, it is not the jug that Jairus is concerned about but four little jars that had been stolen from his workshop. Although Caleb insists he had nothing to do with the robbery, it seems that it is too late for Jairus to believe him. With this bad timing, Caleb becomes the prime suspect in the mystery of the missing jars....
Who stole the jars? Is it really too late for Caleb to regain Jairus' trust? Read on to discover how "raising a new life" means more than being raised from the dead!

What Are People Saying about this Title?
"Mystery of the Missing Jars is an exciting story, filled with enough adventure to keep even the most 'disinterested' young mind turning the page. What a great way to subtly and intentionally teach the next generation about the beauty of God's word and the reality of the world Jesus grew up and ministered in. By the time your children are done with this book, they'll not only know more than most Catholic adults about the time of Jesus, they'll have encountered Christ's world with their own eyes-and that blessing will bear fruit for countless Masses and years to come."
Mark Hart, Executive Vice President, Life Teen; best-selling Catholic author; host of "Fired Up" on The Catholic Channel, SiriusXM 129
"A delightful series that immerses today's young people in the life and culture of Bible times and the Gospel story itself. Well-researched and engaging-with a conclusion that satisfies the reader's growing curiosity."
Anne Eileen Heffernan, FSP, author of Bible for Young Catholics
"As I read the Gospel Time Trekker Series, I was more and more amazed by the way in which stories from Jesus' life in the Bible can come alive for our young people. Sister Maria Grace Dateno, FSP, the author of this six-part series, enables our young to experience encounters with Jesus, recorded in the Gospels, but now so powerfully engaging their attention. Yes, Jesus becomes much more real for them in His birth at Bethlehem, as He changes water into wine at Cana and feeds the hungering crowd, as He calms the violent storm threatening His disciples in their boat, as He raises from the dead the daughter of Jairus, as He restores sight to blind Bartimaeus and as He rises from the dead. Although the manner in which these encounters with Jesus are told with creativity and imagination, yet the reality of Jesus and His encounters with us remain real. The illustrations throughout this six-part series are likewise attractive and welcoming to young people. I heartily endorse this series: Gospel Time Trekkers to parents, to teachers, to any and all who desire to lead the young to Jesus, the Source of mercy, hope, love and life."
