Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time - October 23, 2016

I like this story in Luke...the parable of the pharisee and the publican at prayer. I should, for by now I have lived it a million times! One of my friends will often remind me, “It’s not about you. It’s about him.” This is what’s going on in the Gospel today...

It’s been said that the story of humanity isn’t about people reaching for God, it’s about God reaching out to his people. And we all try to hear his voice; of course we do.
