Fr. Austin Fleming says...
If youre looking for a catechetical resource on the Eucharist, youll be richly rewarded by Dr. Mary Amores EUCHARIST: A journey to Transformation, Healing and Discipleship. The three subtitles are so much more than buzz words here: they come alive in the presentations and engage the listener in real and personal ways. What youll find here is a theology of the Eucharist, always faithful to Catholic teaching, and accessible to an audience across the spectrum of parish life. The material here will be challenging but not too complex for newcomers, and enriching and not too simple for those looking to deepen their long-held faith in the Sacrament of the Lords Table. What makes this DVD so useful is the combination of Mary Amores warm and skillful presentation of matters of substance and the easy way she consistently connects her audience to her subject through examples familiar to all of us in our daily lives. And all of this is rooted deeply and firmly in the scriptures and in the liturgys year and ritual! While many groups will benefit from this material, Id suggest it as a great tool to use with Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, either as part of training or for renewal. A helpful guide (including notes for individuals and group reflection and for group prayer and ritual) will help those facilitating groups using this series.

Joyce Donohue says...
Dr. Amores presentations are sometimes theological, sometimes liturgical, frequently punctuated by storytelling and wisdom from life that enliven these experiences of liturgical catechesis and model how "liturgy and life are interconnected." She challenges listeners to make sacrifices, to take risks and become more than they think they can be, all through the power of the Eucharist. Make no mistake, this is not superficial or mere "learning about" the Eucharist, Dr. Mary Amore challenges us to become part of the power of the Eucharist that can transform the world. We do this by allowing ourselves to become like Jesus, to be disciples who are not only hearers of the Word, but doers who serve others and dont count the cost. This is a beautiful resource for liturgical catechesis.
